String Masters#3: Jelle Roozenburg

‘String Masters’ is a new concert series by Koda & The Gillespie Foundation that provides a stage for the best young guitarists in the Netherlands, where through intimate solo performances they fully immerse the audience in the music.

The concerts will take place in Koda listening space, an intimate living-room setting with exceptionally good sound, is a hidden space in the grain warehouse that once housed a real soda factory. Koda offers space for curious music lovers who want to enjoy innovative music in peace and quiet.

Jelle Roozenburg (born 1995) is a Dutch jazz guitarist and composer based in Rotterdam, known for his work in contemporary jazz, improvisational music, and electroacoustic projects. He graduated from the Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam in 2018, studying jazz guitar under Ed Verhoeff, Reinier Baas, Ronald Schmitz, and Ben de Bruijn and has participated in many different projects and ensembles, including the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra, Bonsai Panda, Showbills, and more.
